Rich Friedman on the Rise of Private Markets and AI Investing

Rich Friedman, Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, says in Goldman Sachs' "Exchanges: Great Investors" program that there are still plenty of investment opportunities in private equity, even though the private markets have grown far beyond what was expected decades ago. He believes that the payoff from artificial intelligence will come later than the market expects, and that the investment discipline he has built over 45 years building the firm's merchant banking business is guiding his current investments.
