HKEX and S&P Dow Jones Indices Launch S&P 500 and HKEX Tech 100 Index

HKEX and S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) have partnered to launch the S&P 500 and HKEX Tech 100 Index, which was officially released on September 30, 2026. Approximately 60% of the index's weight is allocated to the HKEX Tech 100 Index and 40% to the S&P 500 Index, with quarterly rebalancing, aiming to measure the performance of leading US listed companies and large Hong Kong-listed technology companies. The index is designed to support the inclusion of ETFs tracking it in the Southbound Stock Connect, enabling investors to achieve cross-market allocation through a single benchmark.
