Deribit Launches New-Generation Matching Engine Starbase, Reducing Order Latency from Milliseconds to Microseconds
Deribit has launched its new-generation matching engine, Starbase, reducing order processing latency from milliseconds to microseconds. Comparing operational data from six days before and after the launch of the old and new systems, the new system's median latency dropped from 4.7ms to 76µs, P90 latency dropped from 26.4ms to 106µs, P99 latency dropped from 124ms to 234µs, and the tail latency fluctuation range narrowed from 80ms-600ms to 180-420µs.
